Software Engineer - Kinesis
Job Description
Application Integration and Streaming (AIS) product line in platform services enables integration across apps by providing capabilities to communicate either by moving data in the form of events, files or streams or by APIs. As a Kafka infrastructure developer you will work as part of the Kafka Product Engineering team in Application Integration & Streaming product line.
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated Software Engineer role to join Streaming products team that owns and manages JPMC's streaming platform in hybrid cloud environment. You will contribute to building the core capabilities for data streaming, pipelines and data mesh using cloud native and open source technologies.
Must have skills & qualifications:
- Experience in working event streaming products like Kinesis and Kafka
- Experience in working on enabling public cloud products for enterprise scale
- Experience working terraform and sentinel policies on AWS
- Hands on experience with AWS VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS and Lambda technologies
- Development experience in Python or Java of minimum 3 years
- Experience in building, automating and maintaining Infrastructure for Enterprise application.
- Experience in building applications using REST APIs in Java/Python.
- Experience with development and continuous deployment in an agile work environment using CI-CD tools like Jenkins.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to be able to work within and across team to implement integrations in hybrid-cloud environment.
Good to Have Skills:
- Experience in designing & developing products/platforms on AWS. Cloud certifications are a bonus.
- Experience in monitoring and visualizing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
- Working knowledge of networking - Transit Gateways, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
- Experience in migrating on premise workloads to public cloud platform.
