Job Description
The responsibility of the structural engineer is to design and specify part of the permanent and temporary equipment necessary for the execution of a Subsea project, in compliance with customer constraints / disciplines (pipeline, installation) / cost and deadlines.
Reporting to the Structures Lead, his main tasks are as follows:
- To understand the project specifications and industry standards
- To integrate the constraints imposed by other disciplines
- To propose a workable/functional design
- To check the resistance of the equipment by calculation
- To ensure the interface with the project team for your package.
- To develop technical documentation
- To review and provide responses to client comments
He/She will also be involved in the following activities:
- To specify and requisition the equipment as part of supply assistance
- To analyze supplier offers for his/her field
- To assist the procurement and inspection departments during the phase of purchasing/manufacturing/installation of equipment.
You are meant for this job if:
- You hold an engineering degree in structural, mechanical, marine engineering or in naval architecture. You should ideally poses previous experience in a similar role.
- You are proficient with computer, office 365 tools and have a good understanding of performing Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS and/or ABAQUS software.
- You are fluent in English.
- You are able to demonstrate the following soft skills:
