Job Description

This position is for a Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) Structural Analyst with Lockheed Martin. This position requires an experienced DADT Analyst to use their technical expertise to analyze aircraft structure and subsystems installations. The candidate will apply his or her understanding of the technical principles of structural analysis toward the solution of technical problems. The candidate will have knowledge in the fields of stress, fatigue and fracture material properties, durability test correlations, and Force Life Management.

Development of Service Life Analysis in the forms of durability and damage tolerance analysis. Understanding of fatigue methods, loads, and spectra. Use crack initiation and crack growth analysis tools to perform design sizing, MRB, and field dispositions. Development of force management source data to actively manage airframe to ensure safe operation. Force management activities to include Production Aircraft Inspection Requirements (PAIRs), Force Structural Maintenance Plan (FSMP), and Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) development and implementation.

Will gain knowledge in airframe drawings, structural load paths, aircraft structural behavior, fracture mechanics, and aircraft maintenance requirements. Job necessitates database programming and architecture, technical writing and communication skills as well as the ability to effectively use the MSOffice computer application suite (Excel, Word, Access, and Powerpoint).
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering

Prior experience in performing Material Review Board (MRB), stress, full scale durability testing, Fatigue / Durability analysis, crack growth / damage tolerance analysis.

Prior experience in performing Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT), and Force Structure Maintenance Program (FSMP).
Understanding of NDI techniques, equipment, and capabilities.

Experience with (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Databases)
Desired Skills:
Technical writing skills
Familiarity with fracture mechanics and DaDT concepts highly desired.

Knowledge of automated methods of stress, FEA, crack growth, and force management methods. Statistical Analysis and Risk Methods.
