ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

About Baytown
With a population of more than 77,000, Baytown, Texas, is located in the Gulf Coast region of the United States, just east of Houston, the nation's fourth largest city. Those who live and work in Baytown will find an area rich in history, as well as opportunities for outdoor activities due to its proximity to scenic waterways, namely Galveston Bay, the San Jacinto River and Buffalo Bayou.
Founded in 1919, ExxonMobil's Baytown Complex is located on approximately 3,400 acres along the Houston Ship Channel, about 25 miles east of Houston. Employing a workforce of more than 8,500, it is comprised of four manufacturing sites, including one in nearby Mont Belvieu, and a global technology center. These include the Baytown Refinery, one of the largest refineries in the United States, and the Baytown Olefins Plant, one of the largest ethylene plants in the world.
Its scope of products includes fuels, lube oils, and chemical compounds used in a diverse range of products, from auto battery cases, diapers and tire inner tubes to pharmaceutical uses, food packaging, trash bags and more.

About Beaumont
With a population of more than 118,000, Beaumont ,Texas, is located in the Gulf Coast region of the United States, on the Neches River, about 85 miles east of Houston, the nation's fourth largest city. Beaumont has been a home to the oil industry from the days of the Spindletop oil boom until today, and along with nearby Port Arthur and Orange, is part of the Golden Triangle industrial area on the Texas Gulf Coast. About Baton Rouge
Located on the banks of the Mississippi river in southeastern Louisiana, Baton Rouge is the state capital with more than 800,000 residents (the second largest city in the state). Famous for its fusion of cultures, Southern hospitality, diverse cuisine and college football, it is also a significant port and a major industrial and petrochemical center.
Our Baton Rouge operations began in 1909 and have grown into an integrated complex that includes the Baton Rouge Refinery, the third largest refinery in the United States, the Baton Rouge Chemical Plant and several other plants and terminals. Its scope of products produced includes everything from traditional gasoline and diesel fuel to sophisticated chemical compounds that are used in diapers, shampoos, truck bed liners, makeup, crayons and hundreds more!
As the second largest employer in the state, our daily challenges include safely operating eight interconnected sites on a round-the-clock basis. We’re required to constantly adjust and respond to fluctuating markets and resource availability. Job Summary
What role you will play in our team
The Planning and Scheduling Engineer (P&SE), as part of the Cost & Schedule group, is a specialist in project planning, schedule development, control, and forecasting and benchmark analysis. Planning and Scheduling Engineer will be primarily located in *USA* and will manage the projects planning support including but not limited to assessing the Contractor and Company generated schedules for usefulness, logic, level of detail, input sources, timing, lines of communication, and interfaces with other functional elements as well as consistency with the Current Control Estimate, WBS, and the Project Plan. The Planning and Scheduling Engineer strives for timely detection of insightful trends and in particular early identification of deviations from the plan.

Primary Job Functions
Provide overall project schedule, progress measurement, and change management expertise and stewardshipDevelop and maintain Owner’s project schedules
Provide schedule inputs into EPC contract strategy development, contract administration, and implementation
Steward a EPC contractor's project control organization with respect to schedule development, control, and progress measurement
Track, assess, and advise the EPC contractor's organization with respect to adequacy of project controls tools, reports and schedules
Review and, where appropriate, endorse schedule and progress baselines and forecast prepared by Contractor
Identify and drive optimizations in planning and execution of projects
Advise Project Controls Lead and Project Leadership Team of any potential schedule issues and when necessary, provide guidance on corrective action and measures to mitigate any adverse trends.
Develop and review schedule corrective actions and recovery plans, and verify needed actions/plans are implemented.
Review project changes to evaluate detail schedule impact; responsible for quantifying and incorporating the effect and impact of approved changes in the overall schedule stewardship and reporting.
Monitor and report on schedule implications of changes
Review schedule basis of EPC contractor's change proposals - review and endorse changes with regards to schedule and progress impact.
Primary Job Functions
Support project team with ongoing project progress measurement and schedule analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities.Ensure that EPC contractor scheduling practices and progress measurement system comply with project coordination procedures
Drive and oversee EPC contractor development of contract control schedules and milestones
Ensure integration of subcontractors schedules and progress measurement system
Monitor contractor performance vs. approved baseline schedule to assist management in identification of issues and development / implementation of corrective actions or recovery plans
Analyze progress, schedule trends, and develop forecasts to support management decision making
Ensure that EPC contractor schedule reflects / align with external schedule requirements and interfaces such as permitting and regulatory
Assist Project Team in developing/reviewing schedule corrective actions and recovery plans, and making sure needed actions/plans are implemented
Provide direction and feedback to schedule engineers (owner and EPC contractors) on schedule development and control expectations during execution.
Participate in gathering and recording lessons learned for the project that relate to progress and schedule areas

About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 7 – 12 years prior experiences in oil and gas industry is preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Planning/Scheduling
- Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
- Competence in Primavera Project Planner (P6)
- Strong analytics, logical reasoning capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and remoteness
- Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible to work on small to medium size portfolio projects
- Flexible to travel to project sites if needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in applicable major
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/ Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, technology or construction management with GPA 3.5 or aboveDemonstrated work experience in upstream operations, brownfield operations, client organizations and mega projects
Experience using scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or equivalent
Knowledge of schedule and risk analysis tools like Acumen Fuse and PERT master
