Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for continuous engineering support of medical air compressor systems, vacuum systems, and medical gas pipeline products. This role will support the implementation of new products in our factory by working with New Product Development Engineers. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and updating the information for new and existing products to ensure compliance with automation procedures. The Mechanical Engineer will also work as an internal technical resource for medical systems and products, answering questions from the Sales team, Tech Service department, and Production. This position may have the opportunity to work one day per week from home.

Essential Duties
- Convert customer requirements into production information required to build Air and Vacuum systems
- Utilize 3D models, system drawings, and bills of materials to create special designs satisfying customer requirements
- Ability to work with Manufacturing to continuously improve products
- Ability to work independently and with other team members
- Ability to prioritize work assignments
- Support sales and technical services in answering technical questions about current products
- Capability to utilize hand and simple power tools along with instruments required to setup and perform lab tests
- Ability to communicate effectively with both verbal and written skills
- Ability to understand basic electrical concepts
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline is required
- Entry-Level position with 0-2 years experience
- Experience with parts and assemblies in 3D CAD; Solid Edge preferred
- Exposure to coding languages (VBA, Python, Java, etc.); VBA preferred
- Experience creating assembly drawings and bills of materials for production
- A technical aptitude for engineered systems allowing the person to quickly grasp the product designs and the applications of the products
Work Conditions
While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee can be exposed to noise. The noise level is usually moderate but hearing protection may be required in designated areas.

The employee is frequently required to sit and to use a computer keyboard with mouse for long periods of time. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.
