Job Description
As a Cloud developer, the individual will work closely with Agile teams to develop software that will be deployed in AWS cloud. The ideal team member will be creative, responsive, flexible, empathetic, and be willing to participate in a collaborative peer environment. The individual will work with Cloud COE, DevOps and Security team to ensure the solution being developed meets the COE approved patterns and security requirements. The candidate will be working closely with delivery team to ensure the code from vendor or developed in house is deployed and working successfully in the environments from TEST to Pre-production.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 93,300 - 155,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.

The Role:
As a Cloud Platform Developer the candidate will;
- work with development teams to understand and support team/product roadmaps.
- secure public cloud services for consumption by HIPAA compliant workloads.
- will be engineer logging, monitoring, and networking solutions leveraging public cloud managed service offerings.
- Provide best practices and guidelines for public and private cloud consumption to the development team.
- support the full software lifecycle of design, development, testing, and support for technical delivery.
- understand agile principles and methodologies and the pressures of a regular, short release cycle
- support agile ceremonies
- review user stories and requirements to identify ambiguities and help guide the team to remediate it
- have industry-leading technical abilities that enable you to improve Code quality.
- communicate clearly, concisely and effective for your audience.
- collaborate across teams and departments to lead in best practices
An ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Experience with AWS managed service such as EKS, AWS-GW, Cognito, IAM, Lambda, ALB/NLB
- Experience delivering solutions through production using k8s
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and implementation - build automation, build pipelines, deployment automation, etc
- Ability to define and create secure architecture (encryption, identity, etc.)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- Ability to create Infrastructure as Code. Terraform is preferable.
- Automation driven to improve maintainability and testability
- Excel at problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Previous experience in Python or other programming language
- Understanding of monitoring/alerting with an emphases on patterns for observability
- Ability to estimate effort
- Ability to effectively manage the workload to meet timelines and clearly articulate impacts to priorities.
