A Snapshot of Your Day

As a process controls engineer for Siemens Energy each day you will be focused on our client’s business problems to help transform them into value added solutions. On a day-to-day basis, process engineers will be working on project related design tasks from a project manager while adding provide innovative solution to our service fleet.

Process engineers spend most of their time in the office or test environment. Engineers we also be tasks with onsite commissioning activities where they are often required to monitor and/or direct operations. Most process engineers work 9-to-5 on a full-time basis. As our engineers are a part of cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams this role will at times serve as a project manager and solutions engineer with our Digitalization department. Finally, this role will assist with the next generation of Digitalization solutions by mentoring protégés, development of product White Papers, presenting internally and externally, and leading test events.

Projects tasks will into but not limited to

• Researching, designing, and developing new equipment
• Developing, configuring, and optimizing end-to-end industrial processes, from ideation to certification
• Managing cost and time constraints
• Ensuring compliance with both internal and external protocols and regulations
• Running risk assessments of the equipment and processes being used
• Collecting data, writing reports, and presenting findings to senior management

Our mission is to achieve maximum unit availability in a safe, efficient, cost-effective manner within all environmental and regulatory standards for our clients. This position will report to the Head of Digitalization for CD North America.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Show the ability to ability to organize, plan, manage, implement, and optimize organizational change projects.
• Knowledge in Alarm Management and Artificial Intelligence concepts of Alarm pattern recognition for both a combined cycle plant
• Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision
• Being able to contribute to our business’s digital transformation methodology and Technologies, concepts of big data and Analytics.

What You Bring

• BS from an ABET accredited school
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a process controls for a combined cycle power generation facility
• Proven experience with any PLC/DCS system and any HMI/SCADA system.
• Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
