Job Summary

The Product Development Manager is responsible for the launch and development of new products and technologies in the hardscape sector. The position will regularly collaborate with the Anchor Engineering team, the Commercial Sales team, the Research & Development Group, and the Marketing and Product Management teams and will directly manage the R&D team based in Minnetonka. The projects to be managed will focus primarily on developing viable new concrete masonry and concrete hardscape products and technologies for the U.S. market, and on developing improvements for existing products, tooling, and technologies within the hardscapes portfolio. In large part, the projects will be instigated by and conducted in response to market demands.

• Ability to lead a team and maintain a creative, enthusiastic, and collaborative work environment
• Effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization
• Prioritize, manage, track, and complete projects through an established stage gate process in a timely manner
• Identify, read, and understand applicable product specifications and standards (e.g., ASTM standard specifications, International Building Code, etc.) and product testing reports
• Willingness to visit manufacturing plants to observe manufacturing operations, to visit installation sites to observe field installations of products, to spend time as needed in development facilities/labs
• Hands-on and results oriented work style to develop and launch new products
• Innate curiosity of cementitious material, coatings and building material products

Requirements

• 
  Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (mechanical or chemical preferred) or relatable experience
• Relevant experience working in with R&D or relatable experience
• Knowledge of concrete products and exterior landscaping (preferable)
• Experience in management of multifunctional teams
• Hands-on with prototyping, constructing and developing product
• Strong communication and organization skills; efficient in project management
