Our Team:
Medidata is looking for individuals who will help us tackle some of the most complex questions facing the industry today using our proprietary platform and advanced analytics. At Medidata, we never work alone. This role will partner heavily with all of the key stakeholder functions including product, delivery, data science, engineering, partnerships, and biostatistics. Successful Medidata AI candidates will be skilled in analytical/quantitative thinking, structured communication, and excited about building the next horizon of Medidata’s mission to power smarter treatments and healthier people.
What We're Looking For:
The Lead Software Engineer Function is responsible for hands-on development of Medidata's software applications. The Engineer is one who works very quickly to resolve high impact, challenging, engineering problems while continuously raising the standard of quality in our products and services in a full solutions-oriented SaaS environment.
Provide estimates in backlog grooming
Determine and design application functionality
Build objectives with the team on functional requirements and drive initiatives to meet the objectives
Participate in experimental changes in technical improvements and/or processes arising from retrospectives
Be aware of the impact of design on performance, e.g. through algorithmic complexity, N+1 fetching, etc.
Requirements (Education & Experience):
2-3 years of experience with Java, Springboot, AWS, Clojure Experience using Git version control and more.
Ninja-like data querying abilities in SQL(MySQL) and/or NOSQL(MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc)
Experience leading a team and contributing ideas on how to make things run.
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $114,000 to $153,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
