Cloud Services Administrator in GAC Savannah

The primary focus for this role is SharePoint Operational support, both for on-premises and Cloud implementations, including sensitive deployments in the Government Cloud.


Specifically we are looking for:


  • Strong customer service experience
  • An understanding of Information Architecture in a Hybrid environment
  • Powershell scripting experience
  • Working knowledge of Conditional Access policies, and how they affect different implementations across the Cloud space


Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Info Tech, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 4 years experience in IT related field with 2 years of SharePoint / Exchange / Teams / Azure. Other CCNA and MCP certification preferred.

Position Purpose:

The Cloud Services Administrator will serve a supporting role in managing and implementing Cloud Solutions. The qualified candidate is a service-oriented and self-motivated professional. The role includes monitoring and managing the Operational and Development requests queues at an L3 support level. Additionally, the Administrator will support Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  • Support the development and execution of Microsoft 365 / Azure roadmaps, services, and strategy .

  • Act as Microsoft 36 / Azure SME and escalation point of contact .

  • A clear understanding of the Cloud Services deployment model .

  • Implement Cloud solutions and supporting various stages of deployments and testing processes .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  • Competence in using scripting + programming languages to automate frequently executed activities.

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 tenant, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.

  • Experience with production systems and dealing with production issues.

  • A clear understanding of cloud service and deployment model.

  • Collaborate with others to troubleshoot and resolve escalated production issues.

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to maximize MS 365 functionality and user experience.

  • Establish and consult on best practices and standard operating procedures for development, deployment, support, break-fix, and systems management.

  • Deploy and support automation systems and tooling in a 24x7 production environment.

  • Assess usage and utilization trends to make appropriate design and implementation recommendations towards scaling our architecture.

  • Scripting Proficiency in PowerShell.
