As a Product Manager, at Marketplaces, you will focus on growing Sephora as a digital leader across social commerce, Sephora.com strategic partnerships, and new big bets (that we get to dream up!).
This role sits at the intersection of business and technology. You will help define the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of marketplaces. You will work with key partners including Instagram, Instacart, and others. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketplaces and Payments, you will be instrumental in delivering the next generation of our customer acquisition and engagement solutions.
What you get to do in this job:
- Actively participate in the development of the product strategy and vision supported by internal and external analysis for marketplaces and payments.
- Develop detailed requirements and user story definitions for features within the marketplaces and payments domains
- Drive cross-functional teams comprised of both business roles and technical development during the life cycle of product development; champion the needs of clients; partner with architecture, development, and testing, as well as internal communications and deployment/implementation plans
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among domains and product teams
- Work closely with engineering teams and program management to deliver products and features
- Interface with third-party partnership leaders at Facebook, Instacart, Klarna, Alliance Data Systems, PayPal, and more
- Gain input from a variety of internal and external sources to define product concepts; analyze competitors and market trends, and evaluate technologies.
- Create business cases, including financial impact and benefits statements, to support feature/functionality concepts and sell the concepts to internal stakeholders through persuasive oral and written presentations.
- Utilize your ability to accurately read and analyze data to create exciting solutions for customers and internal business groups.
- Develop strong partnerships with multiple business teams and leaders, and gain an understanding of key goals and impacts. Teams include Loyalty, Marketing, E-commerce Production, CRM & Analytics, Retail Operations, Customer Service, and Finance.
- Track defined metrics to measure the success of program features, analyze results, and partner across the organization to develop action plans and enhancement recommendations.

We’re excited about you if you have:
- 4+ years of related experience in product management, having contributed to multiple software projects throughout the entire development cycle.
- Proven ability to identify business objectives, and develop and implement a business strategy on projects; capable of making reliable business decisions during execution.
- Domain expertise in Marketplaces is a plus.
- Prior experience in a multi-channel retail environment or other customer-focused technology products.
- Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines and manage multiple projects — excellent at prioritization, planning, task delegation, and working with peers in a cross-functional setting.
- A track record of being a self-driven professional with the ability to operate effectively without close supervision
- Ability to quickly identify critical decision points and potential issues and provide solutions, articulate business, and technical implications/trade-offs, and make recommendations to project and leadership teams
- Comfortable managing third-party vendors and vendor negotiation in partnership with business teams.
- Ability to be nimble and flexible about changing priorities & business needs, in working with diverse teams & people, with a strong bias for action.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to and influencing executive-level management.
- Experience with Agile product development, with intermediate to advanced proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, communication platforms (Slack, MS Teams, ZOOM), and other industry-standard tools.
- Experience with PODs and Aha! road mapping tools are nice to have.
- BA/BS and/or equivalent experience; MBA preferred but not required with demonstrated experience.
The target annual base salary range for this position is $166,500.00 - $185,500.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
