As an IT Software Engineer, you work directly with PERSI business staff to provide software solutions for business objectives. You will report to PERSI’s IT Software Engineer III and work together with the PERSI staff to build stronger relationships with our members at every step of their retirement journey. Additionally, you will be a key contributor in identifying areas to improve service for our membership.

As a Software Engineer I, you will:
Design, implement, and maintain workflow solutions and business applications to automate or simplify business processes- Develop SQL queries and reports
- Determine and prioritize user requirements for software enhancements
- Perform configuration maintenance (document types, keywords, queries, autofills, etc.) in third-party Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system
- Provide Tier 1 technical support and system administration for ECM system and integration middleware
- Provide Tier 1 technical support and file testing for PERSI employers pursuing transmittal file certification
- Configure and execute regression test routines using automated test scripts and perform basic problem resolution for test failures
- Evaluate, test, plan and implement modules, upgrades, and system changes in third-party software products
- Other duties as assigned
Good knowledge of:
- Software development processes
- Multiple programming languages
- One or more software development tool suites
- Software testing practices
- Determining, interpreting, and documenting user requirements
- Designing and developing business applications
- Testing, deploying, and supporting production systems
This position may be eligible for a Hybrid Work-from-Home schedule.
