Job Purpose
This position works as a member on the Production Team and is responsible for ensuring that products are designed for ease of manufacturability, and for the successful roll-out of new hardware designs to the manufacturer. This includes providing design inputs early in development, providing cost analysis, and executing pilot runs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Each day will present you with new challenges and opportunities to test and grow your skills. As a Hardware Manufacturing Engineer with Modular, you’ll be responsible for:
- On-Market Product and New Product Support
- Lead weekly/biweekly supplier meetings
- Supplier Evaluation and Auditing
- Work with compliance team on various items; ECCN, RoHS, REACH, etc.
- Participate in DMB/MRB (Discrepant Material Board/Material Review Board)
- Root Cause Analysis/Investigation
- Act as in-house technical expert for assigned manufacturers
- Support Production Team on identifying alternative sourcing options
- Create/Review ECOs
- Provide a healthy work environment, both physical as well as psychological
- Participate and support corporate safety practices and processes
- Comply with laws, rules, processes and standards
Required Skills
- Degree in STEM field is required (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience with Contract Manufacturing is perferred.

- Interrupt and review engineering drawings

- Familiar with SAP/SharePoint/CAD (SolidWorks/DraftSight)
- Familiar with standardized quality management systems (AS9100, ISO9001, IPC-A-610, etc.)
- Familiar with Ethernet and CAN communication protocol
