The Role

Develop the next generation of Epiroc drill rigs in order to maintain market dominance.
  • Investigate and design components for engineering electrical test laboratory
  • Familiar with diesel engine applications and be able to design and specify components for a mobile application
  • Familiar with cooling systems and be able to work with suppliers to design and specify systems to meet large and small cooling needs
  • Participates in a cross-functional team to develop new products
  • Develops new components, products using Computer Aided Design and Drafting System
  • Maintains engineering documentation
  • Check completed work assigned to drafting personnel
  • Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) and provide purchasing department with specifications for ordering raw materials required for fabrication
  • Interface with Shop personnel during fabrication and testing to insure product compliance with design formation and delivery requirements
  • Trains and develops new entry level engineers and designers
  • Must have the ability to prioritize/re-prioritize tasks, carry out root cause analysis, and deal with scheduling conflicts.


Skills

Experience and Education:
  • BS in Engineering, preference to mechanical or mechatronics
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Worked with diesel or gas generators
  • Cooling design experience or having worked and be able to trouble shoot cooling systems
  • Hydraulic design, maintenance, or trouble shooting experience
