Job Description
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Content team in the United States. This is an amazing opportunity to work with popular and marketable technologies. The team consists of 4-5 people and is reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering. We would love to speak with you if you have experience with object-oriented programming languages and you’re passionate about full-stack development.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or engineering-related field, or at least 3 years of equivalent relevant experience
- At least 1+ year experience with an object-oriented programming language (Java, Python, C++)
It would be great if you also had . . .
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Experience with SQL database (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
What will you be doing in this role?
- Supporting existing systems
- Manually testing and unit testing all applications for which s/he is responsible, even on projects in which external Quality Assurance is limited.
- Writing application technical documentation.
- Reviewing and revising new procedures as needed for the continuing development of high-quality systems.
- Participating as a team member on various engineering projects.
- Implementing design changes to improve quality, performance, cost reduction, and standardization through analysis of designs and problem-solving techniques
- Participating in the creation, implementation and administration of departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Maintaining understanding of products, manufacturing processes, and product applications.
