The University of Colorado Boulder is committed to building a culturally diverse community of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to contributing to an inclusive campus environment. We are an Equal Opportunity employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
Who We Are
EBIO's disciplinary strengths include ecology, evolution, genetics, behavior, biology education research and systematics. Our research programs have relevance for global change, conservation biology, the spread of diseases, and revealing fundamental mechanisms underlying the structural and functional adaptations of organisms.
The Johnson Laboratory at the University of Colorado Boulder (www.johnsonlaboratory.com) is a diverse and multi-faceted research group devoted to the study of disease community ecology. It runs one of the longest observational records of multi-host, multi-parasite communities across over 80 ponds in California. The study of these systems, coupled with experimental research conducted in the lab as well as across whole ecosystems, has helped address fundamental questions about the spread of disease in complex systems.
