Nature Of Work
Examples of Duties
Assists other plant technicians in: performing basic repairs/modifications on equipment; basic troubleshooting on equipment.
Assists in: completing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment; inspections, cleaning and preparation of equipment for maintenance/preventive maintenance; upkeep and operation of AWTP facilities.
Assists with: inspection, inventory, handling and replacement of chemical supplies.
Assists with: isolation and preparation of equipment for repair/maintenance; process control adjustments; proper operation of odor control systems.
Assists with: monitoring of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems; inputting data to Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Performs related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of: basic safety practices; wastewater operations; maintenance practices; shop and hand tools; SCADA ;systems; CMMS systems.
Ability to: establish and maintain productive working relationships with co-workers and the public; work with others in a collaborative team environment; learn new work practices and technology; understand and follow written and oral instructions; lift 50 pounds; climb ladders; work in confined spaces; properly use common hand tools.
Skill in use of computers.
