What does a successful Software Engineer do at Fiserv?
Collaborate with testers, designers, leaders, product owners, and other developers to contribute to a successful application from design to deployment
Use your experience and skills to meet the high level of quality expected by Fiserv clients
Bring a fresh perspective and willingness to solve problems to expedite the SDLC while ensuring a smooth development process
What you will do:
Design, develop, test, install, and maintain systems, applications, networks, and/or telecom and related processes to meet the functional objectives of the business
Assess system, application, network, and/or telecom needs, provide modeling and simulation consulting to clarify client technology functionality, and evaluate and implement new advanced technologies
Ensure adherence to established technology standards and consult with senior leadership on technology solutions
Support existing systems and lead technical aspects of a project
What you will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
5+ years of software development engineering experience
4+ years in an IBM Mainframe environment – proficient with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and working with IBM Mainframe ZOS toolsets
3+ years of experience in Job Scheduling (CA7); IDCAMS, SyncSort; File-Master; File Transmission (FTP/NDM); Endevor
3+ years of Application Production Support – ability to provide 24x7 support for up to a week at a time
