Job Description
  • Work with the project management and engineering team to organize, develop and implement the Project Commissioning Plan
  • Organize the project scope, processes and facilities into logical areas and systems that would be turned over at mechanical completion
  • Work with the planner/scheduler to set up the work breakdown structure for all areas and systems
  • Work with project cost control manager to ensure that all costs associated with commissioning are budgeted
  • Develop the detailed list of commissioning activities based on the Operations and Maintenance manuals supplied with the vendor data
  • Identify and obtain quotes from all third party contractors for commissioning support needed to complete work
  • Set up schedule for commissioning labor to be supplied by the mechanical and electrical contractors after mechanical completion
  • Develop commissioning procedures for each area and system
  • Execute commissioning effort under the leadership of the Commissioning Manager.

Qualifications
  • Engineering degree
  • 10+ years experience with a chemicals, refinery or incineration background
  • Past experience in commissioning a major chemical plant, refinery, incinerator or other industrial project with a TIC of $100MM or more
