Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced Inlet Flowpath Propulsion engineer to continue our 75 year tradition of developing new air vehicle systems. This position will support the propulsion competency and includes responsibilities that may involve advanced weapons system integration, installed propulsion performance, propulsion system modeling, and propulsion system installation. The candidate will expect to be working extensively with other Aeronautics engineering disciplines and propulsion system companies. Travel in support of the program efforts may also be required. Good communication skills and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are highly desirable. Specific technical analysis (including the ability to mentor junior team members in inlet flowpath best practices) is also highly desirable.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires a DoD security clearance.

This position will be located in Fort Worth, TX
Engineering Aeronautics
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline, equivalent experience and combined education considered
- Prior experience with propulsion inlet flowpath system design, integration, or analysis
- Prior experience with defining primary propulsion inlet, secondary air inlets, and/or inlet off-takes
- Identify inlet design considerations and applications based on inlet type (ISR, stealth, high/low supersonic, etc.)
- Prior experience with propulsion aerodynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulation and analysis, and supporting mesh generation
- Prior experience conducting experimental testing of inlet systems including definition, development, and integration
- Generate inlet design (CATIA v5 and CoDR or equivalent)
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information with customers and management
