Infoscitex, a DCS company, is seeking an experienced Software /Computer Programmer to support development of new sensor technology and associated software infrastructure leveraging Internet of Things (IoT) devices. As a Software Developer, you will have the opportunity to develop sensor grids using opportunistic sensing directly supporting Department of Defense efforts world-wide. You will also be joining a growing team of engineers, scientists, and subject matter experts in Dayton, OH, truly dedicated to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our Airmen.
Essential Job Functions:
Capture requirements, design, develop, extend, and deliver software to record data on IoT devices and transmit this data to a central server for storage and processing.
Support the development of software to process and analyze acoustics, video and other data modalities facilitating data fusion and advanced analysis.
Apply software development and testing best practices.
Use an agile development process.
Collaborate with mixed contractor and government teams.
Help provide documentation, integration, and training support to users.
Requirements:
Due to the sensitivity of customer requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least a High School diploma and 10 years of related experience; or BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field, and 2 years of experience, or a Masters degree in a related field and 1 year of experience.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Experience with designing and implementing software architectures for small to medium-sized applications.
Experience with Python and Java development in both Windows and Linux.
Comfortable with version control software (Git) and software management tools (Jira, Gitlab, Github, BitBucket, etc.).
Experience with unit testing and test-driven design.
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
Ability to work well in team environments.
Additional Skills/Experience: The ideal candidate will bring:
Experience with development on Android Studio and single-board computer such as the Raspberry Pi.
Experience with developing network software and familiarity using MQTT, Kafka, and other data transport tools.
Experience developing with C++ and C#.
A current Secret clearance.
