The Opportunity
The is a great opportunity to directly impact the technology utilized for teaching, learning and communication across The University of Central Florida. The candidate will be responsible for Designing all Audio-Visual systems including building infrastructure and equipment for the University.
Responsibilities:

Designs all audio/visual/multimedia systems for the University including remote campuses. This includes teaching and learning spaces, teaching lab spaces, collaboration spaces, and conference rooms.

Establishes and maintains all audio/visual systems standards, including equipment standards and documentation standards.

Develops and manages drawing package standards including an industry-standard submittal and as-built drawing package that includes but is not limited to Device key, Reflected Ceiling Plan, Floor Plan, Audio, Video, and Control signal flow diagrams, and Rack elevations.

Produces drawing packages per project based on the above-mentioned standards.

Provides Project Managers, Audio/Visual Programming team, and Field Services team with design documentation to support project build efforts per agreed-upon schedules.

Works closely with the programming and build teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Attends project walk-throughs/meetings to determine customer need.

Tracks and reports data related to the systems programming process and suggests improvements to internal AV processes.

Collaborates with other IT vertical business unit managers to foster great relationships.

Follows Standard Operating Procedures within UCF IT and OIR. This includes staff policies for telecommuting, administrative tasks, creating and maintaining documentation, outage communication procedures, and managing customer interactions.

Ensures all assigned Objectives & Key Results (OKR) and various metrics are met on annual basis. This includes departmental and individual Service Level Agreements on tickets and assignments.

Attends various seminars, training, and conferences related to current or emerging technology. Will be given various opportunities to obtain certifications based on specific training.

Other duties as assigned, which may include temporary supervisory role for the subunit within the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
