Job Description
Overview:
The Product Engineer 1 is an entry level engineering position. Will be assigned entry level projects while becoming familiar with the department and plant equipment, systems, processes, and procedures.
Major Position Responsibilities:
- Provide product support to assigned production lines. Will work with production, manufacturing engineering, quality, and test range personnel to resolve problems.
- Assist senior engineer with failure investigations, drawing reviews, test data analysis and material testing.
- Prepare written investigation reports and presentations.
- Prepare Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Witness product testing and generate written reports.
- Gather and organize product related data to support investigations.
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 1 to 2 years of experience is preferred.
- Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of related experience in manufacturing processes and troubleshooting.
- Candidates without a college degree with at least 4 years of related experience in manufacturing processes and troubleshooting will be considered.
