Position Summary:

Tetra Tech is seeking candidates for the position of Energy Engineer to support our energy conservation and sustainability business practices. Qualified candidates will have a mix of technical, interpersonal, and communication skills. This position requires independent problem solving while working as part of larger project teams. The successful candidate will conduct impact evaluations of energy efficiency projects and use data management and analysis skills to apply the results. Previous consulting experience is preferred.

Your Role:

• Perform energy calculations for residential, commercial, and industrial systems
• Plan and support measurement and verification or field investigation activities
• Review energy calculations and assumptions
• Report results and recommendations
• Analyze data using engineering and statistical software programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 2 years’ experience related to energy use, resource conservation, or sustainability practices
• Familiarity with energy efficiency codes and equipment efficiency standards preferred
• Building auditing and energy modeling experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including regression analysis
• Programming knowledge (Python or R)

Compensation:

• $60,000-$80,000 annually
• Salary commensurate with experience
