Boeing Defense & Space w/Mobility & Surveillance is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive leadership minded Senior Quality Engineer to join the USAF E7 program in Tukwila, WA.

This position will be supporting initial contract proposal, production execution / test and certification activities for pre-production developmental prototype acquisition under USAF procurement.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:
Leads Quality reviews of complex proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development.
Develops Quality budget and cost estimates.
Represents the Company on industry working groups to develop industry standards for quality.
Advises senior leadership on development of business strategies that influence directives and policies.
Advises multi-function groups on development of processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
Including early quality engagement during contract gated review process includes integration of APQP throughout the product lifecycle
Consults in high level reviews of corrective actions at the enterprise and customer level to assure that trends or systemic issues are identified and advises on development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions.
Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability.
Develops new applications for statistical tools to maintain and improve process capability.
Conducts business unit risk analysis to determine audit focus areas.
Develops and manages business unit audits plans and schedules.
Trains and advises senior management on preparation for third party audits. Performs benchmarking of enterprise best-practices.
Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities. Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
Works under minimal direction.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
3+ years of experience with QMS (Quality Management System)
3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment and/or business unit teams
3+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions
3+ years of experience working with statistical data analysis and presenting the results

Experience working with FAA/DCMA/Customer interface roles

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility (Basic relocation is available for internal candidates, based on candidate eligibility.)

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Summary pay range: 116,450 – 157,550
