Responsibilities
- Support New Product Development. Support functions include Team Leadership, new product validation, characterization and manufacturability assessment, data sheet compliance assessment, reliability & qualifications.
- Manage multiple new products through their full product lifecycle, Product Compliance to Sustainment of production released parts.
- Drive measurements/data collection and statistical analysis for Characterization, Qualification, Correlation, Production Test Limit setting, and any other specialized testing for datasheet parameters.
- NPI product development life cycle from conception to release. This involves interfacing with multiple functional teams such as design, test, quality and other engineering groups.
- Provide Production support as needed including yield improvements, capacity improvement, unit cost reduction and customer returns.
- Full adherence to New Product Development standard practices and Release to Production. Achieve schedule, development cost, and unit cost targets as defined in the Business Plan.
Requirements
- BSEE (MSEE pref.) or equivalent with 3 years professional industry experience in a product engineering role.
- Knowledge of operation and testing of switch mode power supplies (SMPS) or DC/DC converters. Experience with battery charger ICs preferred but not required.
- Good critical thinking skills to troubleshoot a variety of challenging issues.
- Knowledge of IC manufacturing processes including fab, assembly and test.
- Experience with bringing new products from definition to production release including characterization and reliability testing.
- Strong failure analysis techniques to diagnose and improve analog/mixed-signal IC's.
- Good communication, team working, and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Definition of ATE test, qualification, and manufacturing plans.
- High degree of flexibility in managing a volatile and demanding workload is also a must.
