Your Role and Responsibilities

A Security Risk Advisor (SRA) in IBM Consulting Americas is a Security & Privacy Risk Manager professional whose work involves identifying the business risk (of which IT risk is a subset) in the delivery of technology and evaluating the controls that are in place to address such risks as part of the formal risk management review process. The SRA will consistently evaluate the controls to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the design and the implementation.
You will:
Identify, review, and assess security and privacy controls
Identify, review, and assess compliance with security and privacy regulations
Conduct risk assessments of our projects, identify gaps, and help project teams with risk based remediation
Provide SME guidance to project teams and resources.
Share expertise within the program and the IBM organization
Continue to learn and grow skills around changes in cybersecurity and privacy and emerging technology
Strong (written and verbal) English communication skills
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3+ years of experience and understanding of the controls needed to maintain Security & Privacy Frameworks3+ years of experience implementing and sustaining security & privacy controls
3+ years of experience with Business Control or Project Management experience
Strong process ability to drive risk processes including reviews and assessments
Ability to work effectively with project management and technical leads
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Security Certifications- CISA/CISM/CRISC/CISSP
- Privacy Certifications- CIPP/CIPM/CIPT/CDPSE

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
