What We Need:

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our 1st shift Gunlocke team in Wayland, NY!

What You Will Do:


  • Supervises production/processing members in assembly, machining, fabricating, processing, packaging, inspection or other manufacturing areas.
  • Develops production plans and measures each team's performance to production goals.
  • Coordinates and provides leadership and reviews work of assigned members.
  • Addresses member relations issues promptly and in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and recommends merit increases, promotions, transfers and other personnel actions.
  • Participates in, leads and coaches problem-solving activities.
  • Performs process audits on quality, safety, standard work, 6S, TPM and improvement planning.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Production Management or Business Administration preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience supervising 30 or more people in a manufacturing environment.

What You’re Good At:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated behavior, displaying tenacity to accomplish goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good computer skills, proficient with Excel and Word.
  • Experience working in a lean enterprise preferred.
  • Experience participating in or leading Kaizen/RCI events helpful.
