Ideate with the team to define innovative Ophthalmic Systems and products for Remote Care. Conceptualize and compare different design options. Perform analysis and simulation using modeling tools. Work in a cross-functional team to model, develop, build, test, and refine: usability prototypes, ophthalmic imaging and measurement prototypes, and data transfer and management. Iterate on a rapid time scale in an agile environment to take prototypes to increasing levels of dependability. Consistently demonstrate strategic thinking and innovation and help architect electro- and opto-mechanical systems. Work hands-on in the lab and in the eye clinic.

Master or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.

2 years experience as Product Development Engineer, Intern or related occupation.

Will also accept Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field plus 5 years progressive experience in position or related occupation.

Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in the following:

Systems engineering and mechanical engineering Miniaturization of opto-mechanical and opto-electrical systems Developing commercially successful medical devices/products, ophthalmic instruments, or image processing User experience-driven design experience, for hardware and software

Position requires 10% domestic and international travel, fully reimbursed by employer.
The annual salary range for this position is $138,000 -$143,100.
The salary offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, &
complexity/specialization/scarcity
of talent.
This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions.
