ASRC Federal System Solutions provides these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets.

We are seeking a Spacecraft Electrical Ground Support Equipment/Manufacturing Engineer at KSC, FL.

Specific Job Duties:
  • Develop manufacturing work instructions and other documentation needed to support manufacturing of wire harnesses and Electrical Ground Support Equipment.
  • Conduct a wide range of integration activities involving flight hardware and ground systems.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, program management, planning, quality, safety and CPEs.
  • Support Continuous Improvement (affordability/producibility) initiatives with goal of improving cost, schedule and quality of assigned hardware

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.

Must be a U.S. citizen

Required Skills:
  • Experience with assembly of ground support equipment and flight wire harnesses.
  • Knowledge/experience with manufacturing processes, and manufacturing environment.
  • Fundamental knowledge of spacecraft/aerospace operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective cross- functional relationships and an ability to work and lead in a team environment.
  • Willing to support extended work hours when required
  • Experience working in SAP and working with manufacturing work instructions
Desired Skills:
  • Experience developing manufacturing work instructions
  • Experience building Orion spacecraft hardware
