As a Service Engineer (EFS) – Technical Publications you will define, validate and support the implementation of maintenance policies and procedures over a wide range of global Defense products. This will require close working with other Engineering capabilities including Design, Repair, Materials and Service-Engineering across a range of products. Technical Publication are needed at all phases of the product life cycle from concept through development, production, in service and end of life.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for researching and acquiring information necessary to produce accurate, high-quality source material for publications on gas-turbine engines.
  • Develop and approve the technical content of technical publications/communication (used by OEM, overhaul shops and customers), observing cost reduction opportunities.
  • Self-directed highly organized professional, able to track projects independently and raise issues as appropriate to ensure on-time delivery of materials and assignments in a dynamic product development environment.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements specified by regulatory authorities and to adhere to technical and business requirements of internal & external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support to help resolve technical queries and operational arising’s.
  • Responsible for maintainability & human factors support, supportability analysis & technical instruction support.

Basic Requirements:
  • Associate`s degree in Professional or Technical Writing with 4+ years’ experience with Technical Publications or a related field OR;
  • A Bachelor`s degree in Professional or Technical Writing with 2+ years’ experience with Technical Publications or a related field OR;
  • A Master`s degree in Professional or Technical Writing with 0+ years’ experience with Technical Publications or a related field OR;
  • 6+ years’ experience with Technical Publications or equivalent in lieu of degree
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:
  • Knowledge and understanding of publication specifications (Industry Specs, ATA 100/iSpec2200, and S1000D).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Engineering specs, parts lists, drawings, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MIL-STD-1388/GEIA-STD-0007.
  • A&P licensed mechanic.
