The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Own Component scale test rig at Tech Center and direct the planning and execution of test plans
Collaborate with team members and machine group partners to complete technology validation for linkage pin and sleeve bearing components
Collaborate with machine group partners to investigate and correct CPI issues
Contribute to the planning, coordination and execution of competitive benchmarking activities
Maintain relationships with machine group partners to understand and guide component strategy for linkages
Stay abreast of material and design trends that could deliver differentiation to Caterpillar linkages
Develop and lead STLF Funded NTI projects focused on linkage wear modeling, prediction and accelerated testing
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
1+ year relevant experience in mechanical design or analysis, or relevant coursework
Top Candidates will also have:
Experience with NTI, NPI, CPI or validation of components
Self-motivated engineer with strong technical leadership skills
The ability to work/lead multiple projects simultaneously
Project management skills – Developing, maintaining, and executing to a project management plan
Additional Information:
This can be role located at Mossville, Aurora, or Decatur, IL facilities
