Security Architect - Technology Specialist I - Digital and Technology Partners, Remote Req#2838292

Mount Sinai is looking for a manager to run the Cyber Security Architecture function. The role will lead the team architecting the enterprise security architecture for the health system. The leader is also responsible for setting and reviewing the security architecture for the health system’s major technology initiatives including cloud adoption, network segmentation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. The director will define the security architecture review process, set security policies and standards, and align with industry best practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Define the authentication and multifactor authentication strategy. Guide and assist multifactor engineering and implementation efforts
  • Define cloud security controls required for cloud adoptions and migrations.
  • Develop budgets for the team and hire, develop and train security architecture staff
  • Consult on large scale technology projects, providing security requirements and performing security architecture reviews
  • Integrate industry best practices for cyber security and security architecture into the health system’s Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Solutions Review Board
  • Create a framework to measure security architecture maturity and effectiveness within the health system

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business/Healthcare Administration required. Master’s degree, preferred.
  • Minimum ten years of experience in Information Technology (IT) jobs. Employment history should demonstrate increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), SANS Global Information Assurance Certification Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) or other similar credentials, is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT and ones from NIST.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $109,000.00 - $169,743.92 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
