Telework Information: This position is eligible for hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Job Description and Duties

CalPERS seeks a Staff Services Manager I, Specialist in the Financial Planning, Policy, and Budgeting Division.

This position is the subject matter expert and liaison between the Financial Office and the Information Technology Services Branch. This role requires an in-depth understanding of the program’s structure, business operations, and complex budget needed to implement internal controls, confirm availability of funds, and monitor expenditures. This requires the ability to analyze costs, identify efficiencies, and mitigate risk in financial and business processes, resolves a broad range of budgetary and fiscal problems, and makes recommendations to FPPB management on administrative and program-related issues. The position will also provide analytical support to FPPB management during the development of CalPERS Annual and Mid-year Budget Processes and manage FPPB’s Budget Build tool during the development of CalPERS Budget. Validating accuracy of the financial data for development of Executive budget summaries, and the Annual and Mid-Year Budget Agenda Items for CalPERS Board of Administration approval.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $6,563.00 - $8,153.00 per month
