The Cold Test Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for process ownership of cold test performance including other Manufacturing Engineering related item within Medium V product value streams. Will lead offshore process planning initiatives, project management, new capital introduction, and all elements related to People Quality Velocity Cost within the value stream. Will perform maintenance and improvement of processes and systems used in the manufacture of product. Will troubleshoot day-to-day process problems, initiate solutions, and follow-up to evaluate effectiveness of changes. Will design or direct the acquisition, design, fabrication and repair of all necessary tooling and machines. Will determine, contact, and negotiate with external suppliers and contracted labor. Will analyze engineering change notices, determine any part or process change, initiate, and implement all changes. Will provide analysis and recommendations needed to allow manufacturing to produce the engineering product designs. Will analyze and recommend current and future systems, procedures, training, and equipment needs based upon understanding and communication with users. Will determine acceptability of new equipment based on usage requirements and recommends modification or revision as necessary. Will provide effective communication and services in solving production problems or pursuing operations improvements. Will answer one-on-one end customer complainants or questions and make any required process changes.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a closely related field and 7 years of experience performing project management and maintenance / improvement of engineering processes and systems used in the manufacture of products. Position also requires 7 years of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) performing Engineering change management, new capital introduction, new production introduction (NPI) and coordinating with stakeholders (such as logistics and manufacturing teams) regarding engineering processes; creating and delivering 3D layouts using XML models in Auto CAD; in-depth experience with data analytics and experience with the following tools and technologies: Microsoft Power BI, SQL Tools and Microsoft SQL Server Applications.
