We are Lockheed Martin

This position is for a developer of an Aeronautics common structural analysis system called Integrated Structural Analysis, which is made up of tools for analyzing loads, static stress for composites and metallics, and fatigue and fracture of metallic structure. Other parts of the system capture the engineering workflow and data management in an integrated cloud-based system.

The applicant will work with a team to develop a system facilitating the structural analysis process and methods. This position will be a team member on an Agile Scrum development team. The successful applicant will develop engineering tool capabilities in both modern object-oriented languages as well as legacy structured languages.

The applicant will be on an agile team that works closely with company analysis POCs to collect, analyze and decompose system requirements. The position will be a member of the Aeronautics Engineering and Technology Transformational Solutions team.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience in engineering analysis
  • Experience in engineering analysis software tool development
  • Experience in one or more programming language ( java, python, C++, FORTRAN, web programming)
  • Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM discipline

Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
