Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer for the opportunity to work on a new, external client facing portal in Treasury Services Technology, supporting the some of the largest revenue generating clients at BNY Mellon.
The successful candidate will help design and build UI retail-facing frontend application features to conform to various client specifications. The role will challenge the candidate to solve complex problems related to UX/UI design, application performance and development, as well as data visualization to support the requirements of senior leadership as well as users across various lines of business within the organization. The candidate will be a team member of a fast moving, “Agile” team using scrum.org methodology working directly with a product owner, client(s) and business stakeholders.

About the Project and Role:
The Debit Card Management (DCM) web application is an external client facing, web-based portal supporting retail cardholders at scale. The cardholders are customers of our BNYM brokerage clients and serviced on the Banking Transaction Services (BTS) application. Our application portal is built using the modern Angular framework and employs backend Java based APIs, providing self-service features for performing card management tasks like: managing debit card(s): manage PIN, card activation, report lost or stolen, travel notifications, etc. The portal is integrated directly into the client’s web site using federated SSO and access to the BNYM API Store.

Preferred Qualifications:
Working within various modern languages, frameworks and tools, the successful candidate will frequently work using, this list is not exclusive:
JavaScript, TypeScript
Angular framework such as using reactive programming, RxJS patterns.
Figma
UX/UI, using Bootstrap and responsive UI design principles
HTML and CSS
Java, Java Spring Boot
Account, User, Card object data structures provided in various external sources used by the application.
CI and or CD tools such as Git, Gitlab, Jenkins.
Agile methodologies and scrum principles

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
5-7 years of experience in software development required.
Experience in the treasury, banking, securities or financial services industry is a plus.
