Key Qualifications

  • Prior work experience on embedded devices
  • Experience in Swift, Objective-C, or Java
  • Experience developing for iOS / macOS apps
  • Experience scripting and processing data (medium scale)
  • Experience scripting in Python
  • Firm understanding of Git and the Software Development Process
  • In-depth understanding of OS X, Windows and/or Unix
  • Experience working on new products and seeing them through to fruition!

Description

As a Senior Software Engineer in data tooling in Siri, you will be responsible for leading development and maintaining tooling for data collection efforts. You will design data storage and logging extraction systems. You will ensure engineering data collections execute efficiently on-device, and deliver to the appropriate services for post-processing. You will investigate and solve issues with devices and software during user studies, gathering diagnostic data to track issues to their source. You will drive issues to closure by working with a wide range of talented cross-functional teams to learn our evaluation needs and strategies, and then innovate to improve and scale existing systems or build entirely new ones.

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science, and 7+ years of relevant experience

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,000 and $278,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
