Looking for a Commissioning Engineer In Training ( Mechanical) for our Nashville office


The Commissioning Engineer In Training (Mechanical) assists the Cx EIT II and Cx Registered Engineer in creating commissioning plans from construction documents and prepares material estimates for Cx projects.


Key Responsibilities:

Prepare commissioning plans, which include pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests and training matrix from contract documents prepared by the project design and construction team

  • Assists with data input for Cx checklists
  • Prepares test procedures for checking operation of systems
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings and shop drawings
  • May accompany senior technical staff in performing project job site visits during construction to observe and learn about conformance to design specifications, owner expectations
  • Learns to understand Cx technical policies and procedures during the execution of projects
  • Attends training to become a certified commissioning provider
  • Actively attends in-house training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas
  • Acts and performs activities inside and outside the organization in a manner consistent with the ethical engineering standards in the company handbook
  • Performs any other duties or responsibilities as assigned

An ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:

  • M.S. or B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, or BSAE
  • General Knowledge of AutoCADD
  • REVIT MEP experience preferred
  • A demonstrated ability to learn the basics of design and analyses within his/her discipline
