You will work on the Production floor interacting with Production personnel and other Functional groups to ensure the F-16 Viper aircraft is built and delivered to our Customers. The primary function as an F-16 Block 70/72 Production Liaison Engineer will include detail fabrication support, sub-assembly, component assembly, and mate through delivery operations. Additionally, this job will require complete understanding of the F-16 design for the Block 70/72 upgrade.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Design Engineering support and disposition for production build discrepancies with aircraft detail parts, assemblies, installations and finishes to augment workflow on the aircraft production line.
  • Supporting Material Review Board (MRB) engineering in their anomaly investigation and technical solution development as the result of non-conforming engineering discrepancies.
  • Supporting Airframe Design Engineering for Modification programs and use of technical expertise to design aircraft structure and subsystems.
  • The selected candidate will have a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field of
aircraft structure design.
  • Design support for layout and detailed modeling of aircraft structure and assemblies, participating in trade studies, creating and maintaining interface control drawings, and coordination with Integrated Product Teams.
  • Representing the organization as a prime engineering technical contact with coordination across many functional areas and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics sites including Stress, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Test, Structures, Systems Design, Safety, Materials & Processes and Flight Sciences.
  • Working closely with the production floor, supporting process improvements, incorporating best practices into daily operations, and coordinating lessons learned with corrective action.
  • Making timely decisions while performing research to provide engineering dispositions to the active F-16 Production Line.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 9 years of professional experience or 7 years of professional experience with a Masters degree.
  • -Experience Releasing Drawings
  • -Experience with aircraft structural design.
  • -Fighter Jet Production Engineering experience
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others:
  • -Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • -CATIA V5 and CADAM experience
  • -Stress Analysis experience
-F-16 Fighter Jet Production Engineering Experience
  • -Airframe Layout Design
  • -Excellent writing and communication skills
  • -Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • -Experience in Aerospace Design or Production Engineering Preferred.
  • -Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks
  • -Team leadership experience
  • -Researching the structural configuration impact(s) to F-16 Block 70/72 aircraft using Lockheed Martin’s engineering databases (Multi-Program Release System MPRS, MPRSII, Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), etc) to determine current configuration, effectivity, and next higher assembly for applicable drawings.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
