The Front-End Developer will play a crucial role in shaping our online presence in the burgeoning cannabis industry. As a key member of our team, you will be directly responsible for day-to-day developer support and act as the first responder for reported website issues. You will maintain the functionality of multiple websites and user interface solutions, delivering an optimized user experience to facilitate e-commerce and education in the cannabis sector. As a self-starter and problem solver, you'll have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple high-level projects. This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to the growth of an industry on the cutting edge of change and innovation. The Front-End Developer reports to the Sr. Manager of Web Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
  • Determine the structure and design of responsive web pages, striking a balance between functionality and aesthetic design
  • Use of html, JavaScript, and CSS to produce, maintain, and modify website user interfaces for desktops and mobile devices
  • Optimize websites for usability, search engine visibility, performance, scalability, and compliance
  • Implement and support e-commerce feature sets and third-party integrations
  • Support publishing operations and content management workflows
  • Create and maintain reusable components
  • Create mockups and prototypes
  • Translate UI/UX design wireframes to pages by creating and using Gutenberg blocks
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or 3+ years of experience as a front-end web developer or similar role
  • Expertise in HTML, JavaScript & CSS
  • Experience with PHP and React
  • Experience with ADA Compliance
  • Experience developing WordPress websites with custom Gutenberg blocks
  • Experience using GIT
  • Experience with node.js build tools
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles
  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)
  • Willingness to work in a variety of platforms (WordPress, Webflow, WIX, etc.)
  • Understanding of fundamental design and layout principles
  • Experience with Figma or similar design software (XD, Sketch)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
