Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The purpose of this position is to provide technology support services for the College of Arts and Humanities. The College of Arts & Humanities is the largest college on campus; with over twenty departments, centers, and programs reporting directly to the Dean.
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for responding to requests for assistance with computer issues from faculty, staff and students in the College; supporting computers in instructional facilities; solving technical problems; and providing advice and assistance to members of the College community regarding computer issues.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Three years with the types of hardware and software to be supported, two years of which included user support, user training, and/or programming.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Three years with the types of hardware and software to be supported, two years of which included user support, user training, and/or programming.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of applicable computer hardware or software.
- Skill in operating supported computers and peripherals; in configuring computer hardware and software; to analytically design program logic or solve technical problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to work effectively with clients; and providing guidance and instruction to others.
Preferences:
Preferences:
- Experience providing support for desktops, laptops and peripherals in a networked environment.
- Experience in a higher education environment working with faculty and staff.
- Familiarity with JAMF.
- Familiarity with PODIO.

Physical Demands
Position requires the ability to transport computer equipment for setup in faculty offices and disassemble computers for repair and upgrades. There may be times when the Coordinator will be required to deliver materials or attend meetings in other offices on campus.
