Instrumentation & Controls Engineer (Entry-Level)
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to work in our Generation Division - Instrumentation & Controls Department located in our Boise, ID office.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Development of instrumentation and control design documents for power generation projects
- Instrumentation design and selection
- Instrumentation installation design
- Control System wiring design
- Control System logic design
- Control system hardware design and configuration
- Coordination with colleagues in other engineering disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Coordination with clients, equipment vendors and contractors on projects
- Field commissioning support on project start-up efforts
- Hybrid work schedule
Required Education/Experience
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
- Completed and passed the FE Exam
Desired Education/Experience
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to be flexible
- Experience with PLC hardware/software and configuration
- Course work within power generation processes or power plant control systems
- Fluid Dynamics
- Network Design
- Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Visio, Access, etc.
