Northrop Grumman is seeking an Ionospheric Ground Sensors (IGS) Cyber Operator/Technical Lead to be responsible for supporting the sustainment and installation of the NEXION and ISTO systems located around the world. The position is based at a facility in Colorado Springs, CO.
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Coordinate/lead the preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of IGS systems.
- Perform technical tasks and demonstrate problem-resolution actions for the IGS systems.
- Assist the IGS Integrated Logistics Specialist (ILS) with logistics support such as, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, kitting, Government Furnished Property/Equipment (GFP/GFE) inventory, and import/export.
- Provide input to the operational analysis and quality evaluation of products and their related performance and update metrics.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnoses of malfunctions and errors to eliminate problems in minimum time.
- Effectively communicate with the government customer with both oral and written communications .
- Must be able to support after hours and on weekends as needed.
- This position will involve 25-50% travel to remote sites, including foreign travel.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 Years of field engineering experience with a Bachelor’s - STEM; 3 Years of field engineering experience with a Master’s - STEM; 0 Years of field engineering experience with PhD - STEM. (STEM degree is required to be considered**)
- Must have Active/Current DoD Secret level clearance or higher to be considered**
- Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work with little to no supervision
- Must be able to obtain a US Passport
- Must be able to support after hours and on weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Security + certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Electronics background
- RF background
- Experience with Linux operating system
- Experience writing plans, reports, and procedures
- Valid/Current US Passport
