Job Description
Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

Support the FAA Distance measuring Equipment (DME) / VHF Omni-directional Radio Range (VOR) / Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) (DVT) Sustainment Program

Applies software, hardware, and standards knowledge in the analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of systems for navigation services. Ensures these systems are compliant with FAA standards

Support the development and maintenance and improvement of system engineering in the Navigation Services Directorate. Evaluate technical and operational requirements for systems and services in the NAS

This individual plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the systems engineering principles and processes or scientific work in a project or performs work which involves conventional engineering or scientific practice

Provide Technical and Programmatic support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on the Navigation Technical Assistance Contract (NAVTAC)

Assist the development and track progress on Acquisition Management System (AMS) required documentation and reports, such as:

Functional Analysis
-
Shortfall Analysis Report
-
Concept of Operations (ConOps)
-
Initial Investment Analysis Plan (IAP)
-
Post Implementation Review (PIR) strategy
-
Program Requirements Document (PRD)
-
Implementation Strategy and Planning Document (ISPD)
-
Execution Plans, Etc.

The successful candidate will have:
-
A minimum of 10 years experience in system engineering in the aerospace industry. Two years of which must include specialized navigation experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline. Master’s degree in a principle or related discipline may substitute for 2 years of relevant experience

Proven experience with Ground Based Navigation systems; for example the VHF Omni-directional Radio Range (VOR), Distance Measuring Equipment (DME), and Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN)
