Manufacturing Automation Engineer
Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Automation Engineer will be responsible for driving improvements in process related areas with a specific focus on automation. Individual will have the opportunity to support facility launch of 3 new robotics integration initiatives. Additionally, they will successfully integrate new sensors, cameras, robots, etc. to manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Designing, ordering, and implementing robotics automation.
- Integrate software technology that communicates with different machines and processes.
- Write or manipulate Programmable Logic Control (PLC) ladder logic.
- Wiring and mounting control boxes.
- Specify and/or communicate with various sensors on an array of CNC machines.
- Read and/or write to different types of databases such as Access, SAP, or SQL.

- Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects and manage project closure.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors’ in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or, equivalent field of study (such as, Mechatronics Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering) is required.
- 5+ years’ of work experience in a manufacturing or automation environment is required.
- Proficiency communicating via ethernet/IP, serial, digital, and analog I/O is required.
- Specific experience in computer science technologies along with coding in Java, C, C++, or Labview is preferred.
