HMC – CLINICAL ENGINEERING has an outstanding opportunity for full-time (100% FTE, 40 hours a week), day shift, Biomedical Electronics Technician . The Biomedical Electronics Technician 1 will, under relatively close supervision, perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing and maintenance activities on analog and/or digital electronic patient care equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform entry level Biomedical Electronics work troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, constructing and testing analog and/or digital electronic equipment or apparatus used in the patient care, and clinical areas of a healthcare facility.
Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions
Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures.
Schedule and oversee third-party repair as necessary
Provide technical assistance and instruction on equipment operation and maintenance to personnel.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
Respond promptly to customer needs
Meet productivity standards set by the department
Exhibit ability to learn and apply new skills
Perform related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED
An Associate's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field
OR
Equivalent education/experience.
