  • Executions and / or coordination of (specialized) engineering tasks.
  • This position is a mix of in office and field work inside the chemical industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical and methodological assistance to defined production and operations areas (e.g. increase of a plant’s availability, reduction of investment and production / logistics / administrative costs, debottlenecking, quality improvement, etc.).
  • Evaluate concepts for expansions, quality increase, production availability, operations management, etc.
  • Provide technical support in basic engineering, detail engineering, construction and commissioning of production processes.
  • Prepare basic engineering and design documentation on capital projects and/or service requests.
  • Completes assigned technical assignments.
  • Support scope definition and proposal preparation.
  • Act in assigned roles within capital investment projects (Engineer or Designer).
  • Collaborate with other departments within Process Technology & Engineering Americas to ensure exchange of project information and technical information.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • The incumbent must possess a BS in engineering or an equivalent degree with at least 2-3 years of professional experience.
  • Alternatively, the candidate may possess a MS/PhD in engineering with no professional experience.
  • The incumbent must work independently while reporting the primary results of his activities to his/her supervisor.
  • Cooperation with production and technical and operations departments within the Business Group is essential for the success of this position.
  • The incumbent requires knowledge of engineering and/or design of chemical processing facilities. The position may require relocation to another plant site for a restricted time period.
  • The incumbent should have proven human relation skills with emphasis on verbal and written communication. The incumbent most be able to work and excel in a project team environment.
