Savantage Solutions is seeking a part-time Java Developer to support our Federal client. We provide a challenging, dynamic, and fast paced work environment where innovation is nurtured and creativity is embraced.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Perform systems analysis, design, development, and testing; ability to analyze alternative solutions as needed
• Design and implement secure code for software applications
• Identify and formulate plans to resolve problems by applying new and evolving technology
• Perform testing and maintain software applications
• Follow Software Configuration Management techniques and best practices; Perform troubleshooting and supporting production applications

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Highly motivated self-starter who can contribute to the design, development, and improvement of the ERP system
• Experience with Java- develop interfaces for legacy and modern systems, develop Web applications, including mobile versions, for Oracle Application Server environments
• Experience and understanding of the software/system development life cycle (SDLC)
• Excellent communication skills; interpersonal skills and written skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member, as required
• 0-3 years experience in software engineering or related experience; Experience with issue tracking and configuration management tools (e.g., Serena Business Manager, PVCS Version Manager) is preferred

Education and Certifications:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline is preferred
• Must be a US Citizen
