Join the team supporting the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program by joining the Mission Operations Reentry Systems team as a Systems Engineer Senior. We support the field centers and facilities as well as the operational readiness and safety of the Navy's Strategic Weapons Systems. Your primary responsibilities of this organization include: FBM United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) Deployed Reentry Systems including Mk4, Mk4A, and Mk5 Reentry Body Assembly (RBA) Program and Hardware Engineering.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Responsibilities include:
- Plan/coordinate/conduct problem investigations and solution development related to all phases of the engineering process.
- Responsible to create and maintain engineering requirement documentation, procedures and source data.
- Lead teams in detailed failure investigations.
- Lead/Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action Analyses. Develop processes and oversight for Quality Trend Assessment.
- Customer Interface
- Knowledge transfer/training to develop other engineers
- Liaison to re-entry systems production team
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Systems, or Aerospace) or related field
- Experience working with government programs
- Experience performing root cause or corrective analysis.
- Experience with systems engineering processes with integration, test, and design reviews.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance, thus US citizenship is required
- Experience with export control policies/ITAR
- Current PR/MRB certification or experience with quality management and corrective action
- Experience with procurement processes of DoD Hardware
- Experience with Eastern Range, Strategic Weapons Facilities, and Department of Energy
- Experience with Reentry documentation and proofs
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
